The new 2012 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner arrives in five different trim options with a standard rear-wheel driven 159 horsepower 6-cylinder engine, automatic transmission and four doors. Its sturdy vehicle infrastructure is composed of coil-spring double-wishbone front suspension, leaf spring rear suspension with staggered outboard-mounted gas shock absorbers and one-piece frame rails. To accommodate a variety of cargo types, its pickup bed is made from fiber-reinforced sheet-molded composite material, along with steel outer panels and extra storage compartments.
Its interior cabin offers standard air conditioning, fabric-trimmed front bucket seats with passenger side adjustable fold-flat articulation, and an overhead console with map lights. The Toyota Tacoma PreRunner truck arrives with driver and front passenger advanced air bags, seat-mounted side airbags and side-impact door beams installed in all four doors.
